My Christmas Essentials & House Decorations

'TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY FALALALALALALALALA!
IT'S CHRISTMASSSSSS!
Oh my favourite time of year is here and it's finally starting to look like Christmas in the house, as well as outside...it's snowed?! In fact, we have had hardly any snow but about 10 minutes away it was like snow had exploded everywhere - it was very weird and I swear we're one of the only towns who didn't have proper snow, you know where it actually stays for more than 10 minutes!!

Home Away From Home || Studio Flat Tour

I'm all moved in! Unpacked, reorganised (several times already), cleaned and very happy with everything. It's small but extra cosy and has everything I need - what's there to complain about? Okay maybe it's more money than I wanted to pay but it's not breaking the bank, just yet. I've been spending a lot of time here before university starts and the library becomes my second home; I'm making the most of lie-ins, binge watching Netflix and stuffing my face with good food.

Walking Through the Village of Lacock || Photo Diary

It's days like this which is why I adore living in the country. The weather was so nice so I took a drive down to Lacock in the late afternoon for a long stroll and to grab the chance at capturing the charming village of Lacock, one which I should do more often. It was the ideal time to go as all the tourists had disappeared by the evening and I was able to take photographs without the tourists and locals appearing in the backgrounds.

Life Lately || Returned Home, Family Reunion, Sister's Graduation

It's been a week since I flew home...a week?! It feels like forever; did I even leave? It is really surprising how little changed in a year. I've had a pretty full on week and it's been non-stop. Lots has already happened this week which is probably why it's flown by and I am a day behind everyone else. I keep thinking it's the day before (so today would be Friday for me when it's actually Saturday, annoying right?)
Another thing that has really hit me is how little time I have to connect with everyone on social media. It was actually a lot easier when I was 8 hours ahead, I'll hopefully have more time when I finish work this July; even scheduling tweets is hard to remember.
I am just beginning to get over jet lag and adjusting back into my sleeping pattern, although I still struggle to make it past 10pm.

Favourite Summery UK Things

There are many things about summer which make me 100x happier than when it's winter...the sun is one of them. My mood escalates, early mornings are easier, everything just seems to be an easier task. I think the summer in the UK is underrated and thought of negatively. It isn't so hot that we burn ourselves everyday, dread going out and doing activities for the day, it's never so cold that we don't enjoy going outside and have to layer up if we do...it's just right.

Creating my Dream Office || Pinspiration

My series Pinspiration started with bedroom ideas as I am hoping to redecorate in the foreseeable future. I have kept to this theme of room inspiration for this next post and thought about what I want my ideal office to look like, because I would love to have a little office or space in my future flat/house which is completely my own.
An office space should be an area which you want to be in and you're happy to work in. When I have my own flat or house in the future, I want to make room for an office space and make it all my own; my own style, favourite colour scheme, and make sure it suits my personality.

Thoughts on Leaving Shanghai

2 months left of living in this beautiful city. 2 FRICKIN' MONTHS! Where has this year gone, it has flown by like a rocket! I have been ready to go home for a while now, but that doesn't mean that I won't miss Shanghai. Of course I will, Shanghai is a city full of life, culture, colour and beautiful scenes. I am so grateful to have been given this opportunity to live in such an amazing city and travel in such a diverse country. No doubt, I will be back Shanghai.

Decorating my Room || Pinspiration

So I have decided to have a change to my room over the summer as I have had the same layout/items in my room for quite a while now and I think I am starting to grow out of it (even though I haven't seen my room since last August). What better place to find inspiration than Pinterest; I am addicted! One of my favourite boards and most active boards on Pinterest is Rooms and Decor, I just love seeing a range of rooms and getting ideas for my future homes to make them look all cosy. My room isn't the biggest (my wardrobes take up half the space I swear) so I'm having to be clever with the size of items and think about where they can be placed. I'm wanting to do some painting too as the colour scheme for my room is currently a kind of vibrant candy pink colour; one wall coloured pink and the others all white. I want to change this scheme to all white so I can spice it up with coloured decor wherever and change it up whenever. This change won't happen all at once but I can make a start on it over summer at least.

What I Miss Most About England

So I've been here for two months now?! I can't quite believe how fast it has gone already. I am still loving every second of it and meeting new faces everyday. However, of course, I am missing the obvious luxuries which China does not have.

BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE SHIRE

Scheduled to be a nice, sunny day, me and my best friend Lia took a walk up the downs, in Cherhill, which is a few minutes drive away from my house. I took my Nans dog with us so he could enjoy the fresh air for good while.

I thought this was the perfect opportunity to whack out my camera and get snapping photographs of the countryside. It's not everyday where you have beautifully clear days like this, especially in England! Wiltshire is such a nice county filled with stunning views of the landscapes.

I met Lia at the top as I had to take it slow with Charlie; he has arthritis on his hips so long walks are not very practical for him anymore, but we made it in one piece!!

I love days like this day where you can just embrace your surroundings and not worry about what work you have to do, or what chores are needing to be done..just nice to get away from the madness once in a while and chill out.

Charlie is my absolute favourite dog in the world and I couldn't ever picture my life without him; he isn't even my dog, he's my Nans! I love this photograph as it just shows how much an animal can make one person so happy. Anyone else think it's just nice to get away from humans and spend time with your pet?!

It is sad to know that I won't be in this county for a year in just under 2 weeks time!
